Jewelry Care

JEWELRY CARE GUIDE:

Each piece is crafted with the intention to last a lifetime, if properly cared for. This is a precious jewel, give it the love it deserves.

General Care Guide:

  • Constantly dropping, banging or catching the piece will damage it. Avoid activities that would result in damage such as exercising, moving heavy objects, and anything involving tools.
  • Unless you sleep like a vampire; take your pieces off before bed. Do you really want to rip an earring out in your sleep?
  • Avoid showers, the ocean, hot tubs, perfume, lotion, essential oils and cleaning supplies. These all contain traces of things that will either dull the metal or your stone. Sometimes it’s gradual and other times it takes only once to ruin a piece; don’t take a chance on something special.
  • Jewelry should be the last thing you put on before you leave the house and the first thing you take off when you get home; to keep in pristine condition.

Cleaning & Polishing:

Silver will naturally tarnish over time. Use the enclosed polishing cloth to gently rub the metal in small circles to bring it back to a bright shine.

14K Gold and Gold-filled will indeed tarnish slowly over time, but will look coppery or brassy rather than dark or dull. Use the enclosed polishing cloth to gently rub the metal in small circles to bring it back to a bright shine.
